What do you most enjoy doing?
Camping, hiking, or traveling outdoors … especially to places I have not been before
If you had unlimited time and resources, what would you chose to do?
Travel the world to visit the great natural sites on the planet and experience the food and culture of different people
When you daydream, what do you see yourself doing?
Hiking along a high ridgeline with beautiful views below

My children and family, My friends, Learning all I can

Not much … I’m pretty open about my life with almost everything about me posted online via Twitter and Facebook

Robert Downey Jr., I flatter myself as witty and working to redeem myself after a less-than-perfect past
If you had a super power, what would it be?
The one I would choose would be invisibility. The one that I actually have? The ability to recite every Monty Python sketch and movie.
What is your favorite food or meal?
Cooking more and more with locally sourced foods and visiting places locally that do that well. My favorite? Hard to pick but I guess currently would be the shortrib with local grits and a slow-cooked egg in chili broth from the Roosevelt in Church Hill
What is something silly about you that would surprise other people?
Pretty sure that no one would be surprised about anything silly about me. Something no one knows? I recite Shakespeare in the shower. Especially from Henry V.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
Spending summers at my family’s “camp” on Lake Champlain in upstate Vermont. Spending days with my sister and cousins swimming, sailing, exploring, picking blackberries, and just hiking the entire day away in the most beautiful place I know
What are your hobbies?
Camping, hiking, astronomy, geocaching, genealogy, cooking, exploring, and just simply hopping in a car, picking a direction and driving until I get lost
What is your favorite music and bands?
Incredibly eclectic. Everything from AC/DC to Banjo Dan and the Midnight Plowboys. Strong passion for jazz and bluegrass but cannot stand country music. Sorry
