What is your favorite Scouting Event?
Cub Scout Day Camps. It is really special to see new experiences through the eyes of a Cub Scout. Being a Scoutmaster for Jamboree 2010, though, was an amazing once-in-a-lifetime type experience that I consider myself very fortunate to get to do again in 2013.

What do you most enjoy doing?
Being challenged

If you had unlimited time and resources, what would you chose to do?
There are so many great things to with unlimited time and resources… I’d like to make it possible for every kid to have a mountaintop experience, but closer to home I’d like to be able to take the time and money to reduce our impact on the planet by moving toward a resource-neutral life.

When you daydream, what do you see yourself doing?
Hanging out on the porch of a log cabin in the mountains by a lake or stream with my family and friends.

What are the three most important things in your life?
Family, God, Service to Others

What do most people not know about you?
I always answer this question the same way, so by now a lot of people probably know, but I was born in a French Hospital in a small town on the Loire River in France.

If you were a movie star, who would you be and why?
Tom Hanks because he plays such thought-provoking characters so well.

If you had a super power, what would it be?
I am always amazed by those people who always seem to know the right thing to say in any situation. I think that is a super power I’d like to have.

What is your favorite food or meal?
Nothing beats a great steak with a really good baked potato and some steamed fresh vegetables.

What is something silly about you that would surprise other people?
I sing in the shower (just as poorly, I’m sorry to say) and play air drums in the car.

What is your favorite childhood memory?
I have a lot of fond memories of spending time with family, particularly my Dad and grandfather, but some of my most vivid memories are from Scouts; my first pinewood derby, my first night in a tent, my first canoe trip, my first backpacking trip, Buckskin, and the 1981 Jamboree.

What are your hobbies?
Listening to music, reading, Scouting

What is your favorite music and bands?
My musical tastes (or lack thereof) are all over the map. My favorite artists are good story tellers like Arlo Guthrie, James Taylor, Billy Joel, Randy Travis, Jonah Werner, Mike Cross, Sara Evans, Brad Paisley, and more recently Darius Rucker. I also like bands who find ways to make new sounds or use innovative instruments like Rush, Boston, Nickel Creek, and recently Owl City (goofy lyrics, neat sound.)
